About

Gully Boy (2019), directed by Zoya Akhtar and starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, and Siddhant Chaturvedi, is a coming-of-age musical drama inspired by the Indian underground rap scene. It follows a young man from Mumbai's slums who channels his frustration and ambition into rap, mentored by an emerging rapper and propelled by a volatile romantic relationship. The film explores class, identity, and artistic expression through gritty realism, strong performances, and a soundtrack-centered storytelling approach, producing a raw yet uplifting emotional impact.
